What Creative Commons is

Creative Commons licenses let creators give the public permission to use their work under certain conditions. The conditions depend on the license the creator chose.

The terms you will see

BY means you must credit the creator. NC means non-commercial use only. ND means you may not share edited versions. SA means that if you adapt the work, you must share your version under the same license.

Check before you use it

Read the license on the original source, and keep a note of the link and license. Give credit in the way the license asks. If you plan to earn money from your project, pay close attention to NC terms.
