How to record a clearer voice at home

Choose a quiet, soft room
Hard walls and bare floors create echo. A room with carpets, curtains or soft furniture usually sounds better. Turn off fans and move away from noisy devices.
Set up your microphone
Stay at a consistent distance from your microphone, and speak slightly across it to reduce popping sounds. A pop filter can help too.
Test before you start
Record a short test and listen with headphones. Set your level so that your loudest speech does not distort. Fixing a problem now is easier than fixing it later.
